ABOUT SONJA
Mission control is in my blood.
I come from a long line of logisticians. One of my ancestors handled logistics for the Town Clock in Winnsboro, South Carolina, known as the longest continuously running clock in the United States. Keeping things running on time is in my blood.
I grew up near Kennedy Space Center, watching the unimaginable lift off. That still drives the work I do.
My mother is an entrepreneur. My father kept bombers mission-ready as an Air Force radar maintainer. From both of them I learned early that the people on the ground are the reason the mission works.
For 12+ years, I’ve been that person for executives at Google, Meta and Anduril. I’ve run CEO visits, offsites, office moves and budgets, and managed the calendars of leaders who never stop moving.
Reading Chip War pulled me toward the mission side of tech. Now I bring that same ground support to founders through Ground Control Exec.
